Family is the core of everything we do at Threadbare, so we are honoured to be partnering with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity this Autumn/Winter. As one of the busiest children’s hospitals in Europe, Alder Hey do so much day-in day-out to support families and provide vital care for children across the country and that makes this partnership really special to us at Threadbare.
By supporting Alder Hey, we hope to play a part in caring for families in their time of need. Alder Hey are building a surgical neonatal unit at Alder Hey Hospital so that parents can remain close to their babies during treatment. In the new facility, staff from both the Surgical Neonatal team at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal team from Liverpool Women’s Hospital will be able to work as one team in sync, reducing the need of transferring poorly babies from hospital to hospital.
Threadbare is committed to creating happy family moments for all, and we aim to be charitable and support others as much as possible. Partnering with Alder Hey to contribute toward their new unit aligns with our Threadbare values of family, uniting people through community and common values, and making life easier for others. We are proud to support families and their new babies under the care of Alder Hey’s Surgical Neonatal service and hope to inspire others to raise funds for this much-needed Family Integrated Care unit. The state-of-the-art unit will be opened in 2024 and will feature 22 neonatal cots, along with 18 individual family bedrooms where parents can stay alongside their poorly newborns whilst they are receiving expert care. 20% of all profits from four of our favourite Threadbare family styles will go to Alder Hey Children’s Charity to support their £3m Appeal, helping to enhance and equip the new Surgical Neonatal Unit and develop both world class clinical spaces and family areas. The design idea behind these Threadbare pieces centres on coming together as a family in clothes that bring joy and comfort. Take a walk in co-ordinating coats to keep you cosy and warm. Stylish quilting meets classic Threadbare detailing and sophisticated style. Make memories together this Christmas in matching Christmas jumpers that are sure to bring the festive spirit and magical joy into your home. We hope these pieces connect families together, just like Alder Hey are determined to do with their new unit.
Early September saw us host a family photoshoot with local actor Adam Thomas who formerly starred in Emmerdale and Waterloo Road (which is making a return to our TV screens soon!) and his wife Caroline, and their two children Teddy and Elsie-Rose. Even their pup Showing off their coordinated style in our Threadbare family pieces, the Thomas family were keen to help us support Alder Hey and raise funds for the Surgical Neonatal Unit. Just like Threadbare, they are big on family, and we wanted them to represent us this season to capture this united family spirit.
